We offer Walk-up Buggy Ride Meal Tours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and Buggy Rides (no meal) on Friday and Saturday. Please make reservations by 2:30 p.m.

*Other days by special request for groups of 10 or more.

Vella Essa Tour

Ride in a Amish Buggy and enjoy a guided tour of Amish country in and around Shipshewana culminating in a Thrasher's Meal in an Amish home with all the fixings!

This tour leaves at 5:00 p.m. and returns around 7:00 p.m.

Cost is $40 per person. Children 5-12 are $25. Children 4 and under are free.

Backroad's Amish Tours

Select from 2 different 3 hour van tours in our 15 passenger, air conditioned vans. Available Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday.

VAN TOUR 1 - Join us for a fun relaxing evening in the country. We want to show you our Amish/Mennonite Community. Enjoy a thrasher's dinner at one of our wonderful Amish homes. While touring you'll hear many stories of the Amish heritage, even some personal stories. You are encouraged to ask questions, so that you can better understand their way of life. This tour leaves at 3:30 p.m. and returns around 7:00 p.m.

Guissenburg Cheese House
Amish Farm/Milking
Thrasher's Meal in Amish Home

Cost is $45 per person. Children 5-12 are $25. Children 4 and under are free.

VAN TOUR 2 -Enjoying the Shipshewana Flea Market? Want more? Take a break in your day with a country tour! We'll take you through Amish Country where you'll see their beautiful gardens and lawns. This tour leaves at noon and returns at 3:00 p.m.

Noodle Shop
Quilt Shop
Buggy Shop

Cost is $30 per person. Children 5-12 are $15. Children 4 and under are free.
